KSIC uses only high quality pure natural silk and 100% pure gold zari. The zari will never tarnish and looks fresh even over a long period of usage. To assure authenticity, KSIC Mysore Silk stamps a unique code number and hologram as identification marks on each of its zari sarees. Having gained widespread popularity for its unmatched standard of authentic Silk manufacturing process, KSIC has obtained Geographical Indication Registration (GI -11) for ‘Mysore Silk’ in accordance with the provisions of the Geographical Indication of Goods (Registration and Protection Act) 1999 passed by the Indian Parliament. As per this registration, KSIC has become the sole proprietor for ‘Mysore Silk’. The Company has been certified for standards of ISO 9001-2015 and EMS 14001-2015 and also obtained OSHAS 18001-2007 Certificate Combined Integrated Management System by M/s. TUV Rheinland. The KSIC- Silk Weaving Factory, at Mysore has completed 100 Years during 2012 and it is the first Govt. Industry in Karnataka to celebrate Centenary Year. KSIC is also proud to inform that it has been awarded the Chief Ministers Ratna Award by Govt. of Karnataka for 2016-17 for best Marketing of its products.
